Meet Sam

Sam Vande Weerd is a Managing Partner and a Wealth Advisor for Carson Wealth. He helps create a vision and unique plan for clients to determine what they want their money to do for them and how to take steps to meet those goals. He utilizes a complete financial planning process to best serve clients. Sam focuses on providing high net-worth and business succe

ssion planning. Throughout his professional career, Sam’s goal has always been to help people, and he believes when clients are able to use their resources to bless themselves, their families, and others, it can be very satisfying.

A graduate of Rock Valley High School, Central College in Pella and Iowa State University, Sam has two decades of experience as an advisor. He holds a CRPC designation and also volunteers at his church.

Outside of the office, Sam enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren, exercising, and cheering on the Hawkeyes. He also enjoys traveling with his wife, Jill.

Meet Zach

Associate Wealth Advisor Zach Vande Weerd has a passion to help others. He grew up with a father in the financial services industry, and now recognizes how advantageous that was in forming his opinion on how to handle his own finances. He is happy to work with a team focused on helping clients find their freedom.

A graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in accounting, Zach went on to earn a master’s degree in accounting and data analytics from the University of Missouri. Zach is a CPA and member of both the Iowa Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs.

Outside of work, Zach enjoys spending time with his wife, attending country music concerts, trying new restaurants and taking their dog, Chief, to the park. They also enjoy traveling and spending time with their families.
