Fraud Delivery

Jun 6, 2025 | 1 Minute Read

You may receive a text or email says that your package was unable to be delivered due to the address information being complete. By clicking on the included link, you may accidentally install malware, be asked to enter information the company should already have, and/or give additional information, such as your bank account, debit card, or credit card information.

If you receive a message like this, go directly to the website or store from which you ordered to check on your order. Do NOT click on any links or call the phone numbers listed in the message. If you haven’t ordered anything recently, you are probably safe to just ignore the message or contact the delivery company via known or verified contact information, such as the phone number on your bill or the website on which you’ve previously ordered.

Be sure to check out our Blog or our page on Facebook for fraud tips every Friday. We’ll cover different types of fraud as well as red flags to help you identify when it might be a scam.

Remember, if you have questions about a possible fraud situation or just an uneasy feeling about a phone call, text, email, or transaction, feel free to contact the Fraud Department at (605) 934-2500.
