Community Impact

As a locally owned and managed bank with five locations in Iowa and South Dakota, we are proud to be a part of the communities we serve and value the opportunity to work alongside local families and businesses to help them grow and thrive. Our commitment goes beyond transactional banking —we’re here to support dreams, strengthen neighborhoods, nurture lasting relationships, and build legacies. With deep community roots and a forward-looking spirit, we’re excited to continue serving our communities for many years to come, providing the best value for your hard-earned money, and meeting your needs throughout your financial journey.

Community Reinvestment Act

The CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) was enacted in 1977 to require the federal banking regulators to encourage financial institutions to help meet the credit needs of the communities in which they do business, including LMI (low-and-moderate-income) neighborhoods.

The federal banking regulators are responsible to

  • examine banks to evaluate and rate their performance under the CRA
  • consider banks’ CRA performance in context with other supervisory information when analyzing applications for mergers, acquisitions, and branch openings
  • share information about community development techniques with bankers and the public.
