Loan Assistant
in Rock Valley
JOB SUMMARY:
Processes consumer, commercial, and ag loans in accordance with established policies and procedures per the direction of the loan officers. Processes loan payments and fees. Prepares loan documents, establishes and maintains loan files, ensuring that the information is complete and accurate before providing it to the loan officer for approval. Manages loan ticklers and follows up on the receipt of necessary loan documentation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs clerical duties including typing, filing, and completion of forms.
- Operates office machines including copiers, scanners, phone and voicemail systems, personal computers, and other standard office equipment.
- Copies, sorts, and files records related to office activities, business transactions, and other matters.
- Prepares letters, memos, forms, and reports according to written or verbal instructions.
- Maintains filing systems either manually or electronically.
- Manages calendars and schedules appointments.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Ability to type at least 45 words per minute.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Clerical experience preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to talk and hear.
- Required to use hands and fingers, to handle or feel.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
- The working environment is generally favorable with standard office equipment available. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
